whatever i pulled out of my camo-short-wearin' ass worked this week...even when i left the console mic on (but "potted down" as we say in the business) and i couldn't hear my monitors or cue speakers...calling stereo steve at 12:20 AM frantically asking him what the hell was happening...then discovering that there were two big fucking red lights lit up on the board...my mic...along with CD-1...thus overriding every signal coming out of the board but those going into my headphones. this, my friends, is the kind of stuff Radio Nightmares are made of. i hope you enjoyed tuning in...and listen here if you missed it...

every four months or so, we do the airshift shuffle at KUSF. since i'm back to work on a more or less full time basis, taking an unpaid day off to bring the orgasmatrain to the noon to three slot at KUSF was proving to be hard on my wallet and accumulation of oh so precious vacation time. i'll be splitting this time slot and day with DJ nate ormond, a good friend of mine and whose style and musical tastes will provide some semblance of consistency every friday morning from midnight to three.
